Previous experience
Sylvania, Feock
The photographs on this page document the construction of Sylvania in Feock. Graham managed the construction of the project from initial site clearance through to project handover during his time with Davey Construction Ltd.
Sylvania was not a GMS Building project. It was a complex residential construction project that required structure, design information, specialist trades, sequencing and finished details to come together throughout the build.
The completed home was later featured in Grand Designs Magazine, which described Graham as the site manager responsible for ‘supervising day-to-day business and keeping the neighbours on board.’

Technical coordination

Drawings and schedules are only part of the job. Steelwork, scaffolding, access, materials, services and individual trades all have to come together in the right order.
With more than 30 years in construction, Graham understands how decisions made on paper affect the work on site—and applies that knowledge to GMS Building extensions, refurbishments and selected new homes today.

GMS Building is led by Graham Slyfield, who has lived in Cornwall all his life and has more than 30 years of construction experience.
You deal directly with Graham throughout the project. He remains closely involved, communicates clearly and limits the number of projects he takes on so each one receives proper attention.
